Book One
Revenge at Charlotte Lake follows Ethan Dawson, a former Army Ranger and investigative reporter whose quest for justice drives him into hiding after a devastating tragedy. Rebuilding his life as a shepherd in a remote Christian community, he finds peace—until his past resurfaces, forcing him to confront the dark secrets he left behind. With themes of redemption, sacrifice, and the fine line between vengeance and justice, Revenge at Charlotte Lake is a gripping tale of love, duty, and the cost of truth.
Book Two
In the remote mountain town of Charlotte Lake, former Army Ranger Ethan Dawson returns to find peace—but walks into rising tensions and an enemy within. As a militant threat looms, Ethan must navigate old wounds, new dangers, and his deepening love for Krystal, a woman he’s not sure he deserves. Alongside Anna, whose quiet faith anchors the community, they uncover betrayal that could destroy everything. With justice unfolding through faith and the strength of a resilient community, Ethan faces his greatest test: to forgive, to lead, and to believe that even the most broken hearts can heal.
Book Three
Reconciliation at Charlotte Lake begins after the danger has passed, when survival gives way to reckoning. As old threats resurface and children are placed in harm’s way, the fragile peace of the community is tested. Trust fractures, faith is strained, and love demands more than courage—it demands sacrifice. With past wounds reopened and hard truths brought to light, those who once found refuge at Charlotte Lake must decide whether reconciliation is worth the cost, or if some scars are easier to carry than to heal.

“I was a bit alarmed at the environmental damage inflicted on one of the most beautiful places on earth! I hope the trail gets fixed soon 🙂
Quite an emotional read and it pushes buttons all over the place: the people, the culture, good and evil, tension between conscience and the will to survive, the effects of tradition and life experience, breaking out of molds. I likely missed many other important parts in this list, but so many elements you captured well and made me feel and experience them. Clearly, you as an author know your subject matter well, from the PCT to the culture of fringe groups and plain people, to militia and its practices. You use metaphor effectively leaving the reader with a soul-searching omniscience that bares the reader’s soul. Humor. Whimsy. Fantasy. Romance. It’s all there.
I found the tension between authentic faith and hypocrisy incisive. Giving vs greed. Risk vs security. Faith in God vs confidence in self.
I found the story deeply personal because I know you, and I have lived so much of what you wrote. The story on one hand seems extreme, even a fantasy adventure, on the other hand, is it not pretty much true?
Thanks for sharing that story.”

It’s just a trail. 2660 miles of dirt, sand, gravel, granite, lava, and pine needles. It cares not who treads on its ever-changing surface. Its very existence depends on the footsteps of those who navigate its pathway. Reaching the end of this 2-foot-wide track a person finds themselves at the end of something that goes on in every aspect of their life. A deep inner emotion grips your soul, one that can only be understood by those who have also walked along this seemingly never-ending trail.
